La Voix Humaine is a one-act, one-woman opera composed by Francis Poulenc. Based on the play written by Jean Cocteau, La Voix Humaine taps into an intimate conversation between separated lovers. KQO’s short film excerpt glances into the life of a retiring Hollywood actress in 1950s Paris amid this painful separation, battling a halting career and declining mental health.
